The Three Lightbulbs Problem

You have three light switches downstairs and three bulbs in the attic. You can only go upstairs once. How do you figure out which switch controls which bulb? Answer: Turn one switch on for a while, then turn it off and quickly turn another one on before going upstairs. The hot bulb is the first switch, the lit one is the second, and the cold one is the third!
